Recommended Hotel

We’ve negotiated a special rate of $89/night (before taxes) for a single room with the Sonesta Hotel located at 8844 Columbia 100 Parkway in Columbia, MD.  The Sonesta features a complimentary in-town shuttle for hotel guests (note that this is not an airport shuttle).

Recommended Airport

By far the closest and most convenient airport to access our training programs will be Baltimore-Washington International (BWI), which features flights by all major carriers.

A potentially cheaper alternative to taxis or rental cars may be booking ahead with Supreme Airport Shuttle

For our programs that finish at 4:30pm, please do not book a return flight earlier than 7:00pm on the last day of the session. (E.g. The Community Interpreter® International: Training of Trainers, It Breaks My Heart)

For our programs that finish at 5:30pm, please do not book a return flight earlier than 8:00pm on the last day of the program. (E.g. The Community Interpreter® International: Summer Session)

Other Hotels in the Area

If the Sonesta doesn't appear to suit your needs, you may want to download our list of hotels in the area.  Note that CCC and its trainers and staff have no affiliation with these hotels, and we'd recommend doing a little research before booking to be sure they meet your standards.

Getting Around

While we are located between Washington, DC and Baltimore (approximately 45 minutes from either city) Columbia itself is in suburbia with limited to non-existent public transportation. The Sonesta offers a complimentary in-town shuttle, just be sure to book it in advance. A number of taxis and ride-share companies operate in the area. If you want to do some sight-seeing during your stay, a rental car might be your best option.
