CCC Seeks Assistant Elearning Developer

We are seeking a dynamic self starter to support our Director of Online Training’s efforts to design, develop and launch the organization’s online training programs. This position is ideal for someone who already has some elearning development and graphic design experience and who wants to further develop his/her skills in these areas.

Responsibilities

  • Review and test Captivate files for accuracy and functionality.

  • Convert Captivate files into SCORM files.

  • Create course profiles in LMS.

  • Upload SCORM and other file types to LMS.

  • Test course files for accuracy and functionality in LMS.

  • Fix course errors in original file format, including: Captivate, Audition and Final Cut Pro.

  • Fix course errors caused by LMS issues (e.g. correct dimensions of pop-up windows).

  • Interface with LMS vendor as needed regarding administrative or troubleshooting issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or training (BA degree preferred in relevant area such as elearning, instructional design, graphic design).

  • 1-2 years of experience using audio and video editing tools, including Audition and Final Cut Pro.

  • 1-2 years of experience using elearning authoring software, including Captivate.

  • 1-2 years of experience using elearning publishing formats, including SCORM.

  • 1-2 years of administrative experience with an LMS, including a Moodle-based LMS.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in graphic and visual design, including use of InDesign, Photoshop and PowerPoint.

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a training organization.

  • Proficiency and/or ability to learn new software.

Position Details

  • Full-time position at our office in Columbia, MD

  • Timetable: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm

  • Salary: commensurate with experience

  • Start date: fall 2019
