Trainers
We seek interpreter and cultural competence contact trainers to deliver our programs at our headquarters in Columbia, MD, as well as across the country. In particular, we're looking for:
Spoken and sign language interpreter trainers with interpreting and training experience in:
Community (i.e. medical, social services and educational) interpreting
Medical interpreting
Trauma-informed interpreting
Medical terminology
Skills-based workshops (e.g. note-taking for interpreters and simultaneous, remote and legal interpreting)
Cultural competence trainers and therapists with training experience in health and human services
Curriculum Developers
We're looking for interpreter (for spoken and sign languages) and cultural competence contract curriculum developers with expertise in:
Community (i.e. medical, social services and educational) interpreting
Medical interpreting
Medical terminology
Skills-based workshops
Legal interpreting
Interpreter certification preparation (e.g. medical, court)
Cultural competence in specific areas of health and human services (e.g. dental health, primary/secondary education, eldercare)
Authors
Our imprint, Culture & Language Press (CLP) publishes books and products to support training and professional development for medical, community and legal interpreting (for spoken and sign languages) and cultural competence. We welcome submissions of proposals and manuscripts for textbooks, workbooks, training manuals and trainer's guides in:
Educational interpreting
Social services interpreting
Medical interpreting
Trauma-informed interpreting
Remote interpreting
Note-taking for interpreters
Other Professionals
